Seminarians, SSP professed members and lay people joined the rest of the Roman Catholic Church in celebrating the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). The celebration began with the Holy Mass presided by Rev Fr. Norman Melchor Pena, SSP, PhD, and concluded with the traditional Corpus Christi Procession around the seminary compound.

In his homily, Fr. Peña recalled an SSP brother assigned in Africa who died while trying to save the Blessed Hosts from the fire that was burning down the whole chapel, fire set as a result of religious persecution during the time. Unfortunately, he was not able to do so because he was hit with thrown knives and got burned alive in the fire. Fr. Peña exhorted the faithful to have the same zeal and love for the Eucharist, the "veiled" Body of Christ.
