The Pauline Family celebrated the Feast of St. Paul on June 30, 2026, with a solemn concelebrated Mass at the Sanctuary of St. Paul in Makati at 5:30 PM. Joining the members of the Pauline Family were employees of ST PAULS’ apostolic offices and Massgoers from San Antonio Village.
Fr. Gil Alinsangan, SSP, served as the principal celebrant and homilist. In his homily, delivered in Tagalog, he explained that for Blessed James Alberione, St. Paul the Apostle was not merely the patron saint of the Pauline Family but its true founder, father, model, and inspiration. Blessed Alberione often said, “The real Founder of the Pauline Family is St. Paul.” He saw in St. Paul the ideal model for every Christian and every apostle. St. Paul was a man consumed by a single passion—to make Christ known to the world. He traveled tirelessly, endured hardships, imprisonments, beatings, and ultimately martyrdom because he believed that every person deserved to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
The SSP Central Community in Makati prepared for the feast with a nine-day Novena of Masses, celebrated daily at 5:30 PM. Each day, different apostolic departments of ST PAULS, members of the Pauline Institutes, and Massgoers from the San Antonio Village neighborhood associations participated in the celebration. A priest-celebrant was assigned each day to preach on the spirituality and mission of St. Paul, Apostle to the Gentiles.
Following the Mass, supper was served in the community refectory for members of the Pauline Family, including the SSP, the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master, the Aggregated Institutes of Our Lady of the Annunciation, St. Gabriel the Archangel, and the Holy Family, as well as the Association of Pauline Cooperators. Packed meals were also distributed to the other Mass attendees.
