SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Society of Saint Paul (SSP) Philippines–Australia Province welcomed seven new members into its Postulancy Program during the Rite of Acceptance held on May 29, 2026, at the SSP Postulancy House in Pampanga.
The celebration began with the Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Norman Melchor Peña, SSP, and concelebrated by Fr. Leopoldo Botavarra III, SSP, and Fr. Ledio Peter Barisoro, SSP. The Eucharistic celebration marked the Aspirants’ arrival at the Postulancy House and their formal entrance into a new stage of formation.
Following the Mass, the Rite of Acceptance was led by Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite, SSP, Provincial Superior of the Philippines–Australia Province, together with Fr. Jerome Javellana Palma, SSP, Postulant Master.
In his message to the newly accepted Postulants, Fr. Sobrejuanite emphasized the importance of embracing the Pauline spirituality and mission entrusted by the Church to Blessed James Alberione, founder of the Pauline Family. He likewise highlighted the Postulancy period as a time of deeper discernment, growth in faith, and closer union with God in the Pauline vocation.
Concluding the rite, Fr. Sobrejuanite reminded the brothers: “The Rite of Acceptance has ended, but remember that your journey in Postulancy begins.”
The new Postulants are Gabriel Abecia of Misamis Oriental; Carl Camino of Leon, Iloilo; Andriel Angelo Eiman of Igbaras, Iloilo; Chiles Roemn Gloriani of Cabanatuan City; Ryan Pinzon of Bulacan; Edgar Rondina of Masbate; and Jake Soquias of San Dionisio, Iloilo.
The celebration concluded with an agape shared by the priests, brothers, and guests, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the newly accepted Postulants as they continue their formation in the congregation.
