Ten Juniors Renew Religious Vows on the Feast of the Visitation

Updated: Jun 3

Coinciding with the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, ten temporarily professed members of the Philippines-Australia Province of the Society of St. Paul renewed their religious vows.

The vows of chastity, poverty, obedience, and fidelity to the Pope were renewed and received by the Provincial Superior, Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite, SSP.

In his homily, Fr. Sobrejuanite exhorted the juniors to live out their vows as authentic witnesses in a world longing for genuine testimony. Quoting Pope St. Paul VI, he reminded them that "modern man listens more willingly to witnesses than to teachers, and if he does listen to teachers, it is because they are witnesses."

The renewal of vows marked the culmination of their spiritual preparation, carried out through their annual retreat held from May 25 to 30 at the Oasis of Prayer, facilitated by Fr. Eldy L. de Castro, OH.
