21 NEW ASPIRANTS ENTER THE ASSOCIATION OF PAULINE COOPERATORS; APC MEMBERS RENEW THEIR PROMISE

PASAY CITY, Philippines — Twenty-one candidates were formally admitted into the Aspirantship of the Association of Pauline Cooperators (APC) during a Eucharistic celebration held on July 5, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Pasay City.

Among the 21 new aspirants, 20 are parish greeters and collectors from Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, while one comes from Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

As part of the Sunday liturgy, 19 members of the Association of Pauline Cooperators also renewed their Promise, reaffirming their commitment to embrace Pauline spirituality and participate in the mission of Christ through the charism of Blessed James Alberione.

The Mass was presided over by Fr. Ramil D. Tapang, SSP, APC Formator, who formally received the new aspirants and those renewing their Promise. In his homily, Fr. Tapang emphasized that the APC is not a community of perfect individuals but a family of ordinary people who continue to respond to God’s call despite their limitations.

“The Association of Pauline Cooperators is not a community of saints who no longer have shortcomings. It is not a group of people who never sin. All of us—including myself—have our own weaknesses, imperfections, and moments when we fall. But here is the Good News: Christ does not choose only the perfect. Rather, He makes instruments of those who are willing to respond to His call.”

Before the final blessing, the induction of the newly elected officers of the APC-SSP Community was held. The new officers are Nerisse Reyes, Coordinator; Greg Aguila, Assistant Coordinator; Rowena Sanchez, Secretary; Luz Clemente, Treasurer; and Millete Jacinto, Common Life Minister.

After the Eucharistic celebration, the participants gathered at the Our Lady of Sorrows Foundation Inc. (OLSOFI) Building for refreshments and fellowship. The gathering became an opportunity for the newly admitted aspirants, APC members, and the parish community to celebrate their shared vocation in a spirit of communion and joy.
