Twelve Schools to Vie for SPNBQ 2025 Crown

In the Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, the St. Paul National Bible Quiz (SPNBQ) is holding its 12th edition with the theme "Word Lives, Hope Grows." The Elimination and Semifinal Rounds were conducted on August 28–29, 2025, at the Asia Pacific College.


In the Elimination Round on August 28, a total of 303 schools nationwide participated, many fielding two teams each. The contestants were divided into two batches, each answering 70 multiple choice questions. On the following day, about 50 teams advanced to the Semifinal, joined by Youngster subscribers. They tackled 40 questions in both multiple-choice and true-or-false formats. At the end of the round, 11 schools emerged as finalists. Listed in alphabetical order, they are:

• Caterina and Giuditta Cittadini School, Inc. (Laguna)

• Immaculate Conception College of Balayan, Inc. (Batangas)

• Multinational Sacred Heart School, Inc. (Metro Manila)

• Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School (Metro Manila)

• Sisters of Mary Banneux, Inc. (Cavite)

• Sisters of Mary–Boystown, Inc. (Cebu)

• Sisters of Mary School–Girlstown, Inc. (Cebu)

• St. Joseph School of Sariaya (Quezon)

• St. Martin de Porres Catholic School, Inc. (Bulacan)

• St. Mary’s College of Baliwag (Bulacan)

• St. Theresa’s College of Quezon City (Metro Manila)

• University of St. Louis of Tuguegarao (Cagayan)


The Championship Round will be held on September 12, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, in conjunction with the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF). Transportation to and accommodations in Manila will be provided by the SPNBQ Committee Organizers. Winners will receive cash and in-kind prizes.


The St. Paul Bible Ministry (SPBM) Team was headed by Fr. Angelo Paolo Asprer, Director of St Pauls Creative, with the hardworking Secretariat composed of Clerics Almir John Bagabaldo, Melvin de la Cruz, Philip Jay Orongan, Enrique Teodoro, and Anjon Fredrick Mamunta. The questions were prepared by Bible scholars Fr. Gil Alinsangan and Bro. Hansel Mapayo. Assisting the event were Mr. Jojo Castillo of Asia Pacific College, programmer of the digital quiz platform, and Fr. John Klen Malificiar, Director General for Apostolate. Also present from SP Audiovisuals were Fr. Keiv Aires Dimatatac and Mr. Darwin Orante, who assisted in the technical coverage.
