UST Canon Law Students Visit St. Pauls Creative, Society of Saint Paul Students taking the Licentiate in Canon Law at the University of Santo Tomas visited St Pauls Creative and the Society of St. Paul on May 15, 2026, for an educational exposure to Church-based media ministries under their course Teaching Office of the Church. The activity was held at Omnia Studios within the Society of Saint Paul compound in Makati City.
The delegation was composed of ten priests, two deacons, three religious sisters, and one seminarian from various dioceses and religious congregations in the Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The group was accompanied by Rev. Jeffrey Mon Pagaduan, OP, professor of Canon Law at the University of Santo Tomas.
The visitors were welcomed by Creative Director Fr. Angelo Paolo Asprer, SSP, Assistant Creative Director Fr. Albert Garong, SSP, and SP Program Manager Fr. Edward Dantis, SSP, who presented the Pauline apostolate of evangelization through print, digital, and social media amid the rapidly evolving communications landscape, as well as its biblical initiatives.
The Pauline mission of evangelization emphasizes the Bible, family and youth, and communication as its core pillars. Discussions centered on the opportunities and challenges posed by artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in evangelization, underscoring the need for creativity, adaptability, prudence, and discernment in media practice and content creation.
The dialogue likewise highlighted the growing demand for pastoral, accessible, and reliable online content on canon law, particularly concerning marriage and family issues, while opening possible avenues for future collaboration. The visit concluded with a tour of the Pauline offices, the Sanctuary of St. Paul, the Mary Queen of Apostles Chapel, and the St Pauls Bookstore.
